So as I peruse through the newest and best albums of 2017, I realized I hadn’t listened to Ryan Adams release, “Prisoner,” from February! I gargled and cackled as if I were some sort of disgusting monster! I’d found a new release midweek that I’d forgotten to lust my ears upon! Like finding money in the pocket of a pair of old jeans. People in my nearest vicinity were rightfully disturbed by my unexpected pleasure filled chortlings. Anyway… This album in my opinion is excellent. Ryan is channeling his inner Neil Young a little at times, but it’s all sweet n tasty. One of my favorite joints off this album was the sensationally tasteful, “Anything I Say To You Now.” It’s got a lighthearted  sort of upbeat feel to the music, but really somewhat sad undertones to the meaning behind the lyrics.

Anything I say to you now is just a lie
Anything I say to you now but goodbye
Anything I say to you now is just a lie
But goodbye But Goodbye

This isn’t brand new but it ain’t no throwback neither! It’s definitely falling on the alternative playlist today. I’m talking sunny day vibes with a smooth bass line. Little to no abrasiveness here so if you’re jamming with your girlfriend or your mom you’re clear for a landing. It’s what I like to call the chiller killer…
