Foster The People have been stringing us along with jam after jam lately and today’s release of their new single, “Sit Next To Me,” is no different. It’s a warm story about peeping your love interest’s steez (see urban dictionary) at the bar and making the connection, getting through the small talk, and getting the hell outta there.

Well I ain’t frontin’ my intention
Got your man outlined in chalk
It’s a midnight intervention
Got no plans to make it stop

The song centers around a funky bass line and disco hand claps. I can definitely see some roller disco short shorts being worn to this funk ridden Bee Bee’s esq phenom of a song. It’s catchy and I think you’ll be playing it while your pre-gaming for tonight’s dance party. Put it in your damn 8-track and make sure your shoes are tied.
